"Hugo," Scorsese's ode to the early days of moviemaking, earned the most nominations with 11 overall, including for him in the director category. "Artist" leads "Tinker Tailor" in BAFTA nominations
Tue, 17 Jan 2012 09:00:13 +0100 LONDON (Reuters) - Silent movie "The Artist" led the BAFTA nominations on Tuesday picking up 12, one ahead of British Cold War-era spy movie "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" with 11. The nominations for the BAFTAs, Britain's top film honors and the most closely watched movie awards outside the United States, come a week before the Oscar shortlists are unveiled.
